Due Diligence Consulting

Independent technical, operational and investment due diligence for acquisitions, investments, partnerships and project-financing decisions. We verify what a deal actually is — before you sign, fund or acquire.

What is due diligence?

Due diligence is the independent verification of a target — a company, asset, technology or project — before an investment, acquisition or financing decision. Its purpose is to confirm that the claims, numbers and assumptions on which the deal rests are actually true, and to surface the risks the seller may not have disclosed.

3EH conducts engineering-led due diligence: we don't just read the data room, we test whether the technology, capacity, condition and economics stand up under scrutiny — and translate the findings into a clear view of deal risk.

Scope

Four due-diligence lenses on one deal.

Selected and combined to match the transaction — an acquisition, a minority investment, a JV or a financing request.

Technical

Technical Due Diligence

Engineering verification of technology, equipment, capacity, infrastructure, assumptions and technical risk. See the dedicated page →

Investment

Investment Due Diligence

Validation of the investment thesis: CAPEX/OPEX assumptions, cash-flow logic, return sensitivity and the risks that could break the case.

Operational

Operational Due Diligence

Production, supply chain, utilization, maintenance and organizational readiness — whether the operation can actually deliver what's promised.

Project

Project Due Diligence

For projects still in development: scope realism, schedule, cost-to-complete, execution risk and the conditions required for success.

FAQ

Due diligence — common questions.

When should due diligence happen?

After a deal looks attractive but before it is binding — ideally with enough time to renegotiate price or conditions if the findings warrant it. Starting too late removes your leverage.

What is technical due diligence specifically?

Technical due diligence is the engineering-focused verification of a target's technology, equipment, capacity, infrastructure and technical assumptions. It answers whether the asset can physically do what the seller claims. We cover it in depth on the Technical Due Diligence page.

How is 3EH different from a financial-only advisor?

Financial advisors verify the numbers; we verify the engineering reality behind them. A plant's stated capacity, a technology's maturity or a project's cost-to-complete are engineering questions with financial consequences — that intersection is where 3EH works.

Can you do due diligence before industrial investment abroad?

Yes. We have conducted investment and feasibility research and consulting internationally, and structure engagements for cross-border industrial transactions.
